17 November, 2025 FARCO: For the second year in a row, thousands of boys and girls from all over the country, meet, play and march for their rights.
With the slogan "Famine is a political decision," on Saturday, November 15, organizations from different places came to denounce the abandonment policies to protect children in the neighborhoods.
The Republic of the Children read out their statement on the balcony of the Government House. There they asked for more places, more schools and denounced that there are families in this country that do not have four guaranteed daily meals.
In that document, boys and girls said: "It can't be that in a government where we produce tons of food we keep coming here to this balcony to talk about hunger as a crime. It's a shame to go through the neighborhoods, see so many little creatures and not know if they have a plate of food on the table.

In addition, in the run-up to the mobilization, for months, the children met to assemble the document with their grievances. Hunger is a crime and a political decision.

Hunger is a political decision. And for that to change, we have to do politics then. No more cardboard politics, not the politics of photos. It's about this policy, ours. The one we do body to body, the one we do in the neighborhoods.
